35.02 Reassuring Hand
“Reassuring Hand” I have found that, most times, a touch or a glance can be more helpful than anything that might be said. Just being nearby, quietly next to someone for support can do wonders.
I hope your holidays were were happy and that this new year is better than the last. Sure, there’ll be some rough spots, but they won’t be so difficult if we are there to support one another.
Be careful out there.

Panel 1
On a balcony in the White Bear tavern, the gobos - disguised magically to appear as gnomes - are gathering up items from the floor. But not Fip and Pōk, who stand center in the shot. Behind them are Wak and a mostly blocked Nak pick up twine-tied boxed. Hob, who is a bit closer, picks up a similar box with the hand that still holds the partially unwrapped hobbyhorse. Behind the armored gobo - and mostly obscured in the tight shot - is Puccini. Fip turns sluggishly as Pōk thumbs towards the other room doors. The gobo scout carries a bundle of cloth, tied up like the other packages.
Panel 2
Wak stands and watches the two walk towards the viewer, Fip's head hung low while Pōk rubs a pointer finger across the lips, thinking. Hob's hand can just be seen reaching up to Fip
Panel 3
...before settling on the gobo archer's shoulder. Pōk raises a finger as a thought comes to mind and continues forward. The eye patch blocks the fact that Fip has stopped and is turning towards Hob, who is trying to make eye-contact. Puccini follows...
Panel 4
...and comes to a stop behind the two as Hob makes a connection, imparting support which Fip accepts by touching the hand holding the archer's shoulder. Oblivious to the wordless exchange, Pōk continues forward and out of the shot, mouth opening to offer some words to a companion that is no longer there.
